02 石川県立美術館 Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art

This museum has exhibits ranging from traditional crafts to modern arts. All the works and the products are by the artists who are connected with Ishikawa Prefecture in some way or the other. The Museum enjoys a high reputation for its strong regional flavour. The National Treasures of "Cock Pheasant Incense Burner" and the old Kutani porcelain are must-sees. A number of rare cultural heritage items which were the family heirloom of Kaga's Maeda Family, and are now owned by Maeda Ikutoku Association are displayed at Maeda Ikutoku Association's Sonkeikakubunko Museum on the 2nd floor.
